Summer Evenings at the Plateau: Experiencing Plateau Palooza in Murrieta
When locals talk about what makes living in Murrieta so special, the Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve is almost always near the top of the list. Spanning over 9,000 acres of protected oak woodlands, historic adobes, and scenic trails, it's the crown jewel of our local natural landscape -- and every summer, it transforms into something truly magical.
Welcome to Plateau Palooza.
What Is Plateau Palooza?
Hosted by The Nature Education Foundation (TNEF), Plateau Palooza is Murrieta's beloved annual summer concert series -- a string of Saturday evenings that blend live music, local art, food trucks, and community under the stars.
Set against the scenic backdrop of the Santa Rosa Plateau, these evenings offer a one-of-a-kind way to enjoy live entertainment while watching the sunset paint the hills gold.
What to expect each evening:
- Live Music -- Popular local and regional acts performing everything from Southern rock and country classics to 60s hits and 80s favorites.
- Outdoor Art Showcase -- Works from regional artists alongside talented local student "scholastic artists" displaying painting, photography, and fine crafts.
- Food & Drinks -- Local food trucks, craft beer, specialty wines, and refreshments throughout the evening.
- Live Entertainment & Auctions -- Opportunity drawings, silent auctions, and community fun that keep the energy going all night.
